Most women's lacrosse players receive partial scholarships. Only the super star recruits are offered full scholarships and that probably doesn't happen very often. I see 30+ players on next season's roster. I don't know if some players are transferring after this spring semester. I also don't know how many of our players are walk-ons. I would assume in an "ideal" signing (NLI) scenario that each player would receive an half athletic scholarship along with financial aid or other academic scholarships that would cover 24 scholarship players with the remainder being walk-ons. Maryland athletes can also receive in-state tuition if their major isn't offered at UM-College Park. That reduces out-of-state tuition costs to the lacrosse program.
